4 Antique Theodore Haviland Limoges Soup Bowl With Garlands & Gold Ribbons:
These 4 soup bowls were produced in France by Theodore Haviland Limoges around 1900. They measure 7 1/2 inches in diameter and are 1 1/2 inches deep. They are factory decorated with a transfer design of garlands of tiny pink and blue flowers. There are gilded ribbons on 6 sides of the rim of each bowl. The centers have a gilded medallion surrounded by tiny pink and blue flowers.
CONDITION: Two of the plates have what looks like a miss in the gilding of the center medallion. They are identical and this must have occurred at the factory. We do not believe it is a defect. There is no evidence of use or wear otherwise.
