Four vintage matchbook covers from three U.S. military ships and one Presidential yacht. All four covers arefrom the 1950s, and are in excellent to good condition with no major wrinkles. The strikers are at the bottom of the covers, which is indicative of their age, and are completely unused. Details:1. U.S.S. Cotton (DD 669) -a Fletcher-class destroyerof the United States Navy, Launched12 June 1943 and decommissioned in 1960. Cover in excellent condition.2. U.S.S. Williamsburg - served as a U.S. Navy gunboat, then a private yacht, then as President Truman's yacht from 1945-1953. Cover has sharp edges, striker a little worn (but unused). "Truman" is written on the back.3. U.S.S. Greenwich Bay (AVP 41) -a United States Navy Barnegat-class small seaplane tenderin commission from 1945 to 1966. Looks slightly worn due to wrinkling (but unused), number stamped on back.4. U.S.S. Leyte (CV-32) -one of 24 Essex-class aircraft carriersbuilt during and shortly after World War II for the United States Navy.Commissioned in April 1946 and decommissioned in 1959.Cover in excellent, unused condition.
