Victor Perantoni\'s Pocket Change.
(Busta #1)
In addition to all the deaths and sufferings caused by World War II, the Perantoni Family also incurred greatfinancial losses. First they lost more than 40,000 gold-backedPolish Zlotywhen they had to abandon their Italian Winery shoppe and their Italian wine import-export business in Lwow-Leopolisdue tonazi Germany\'s attack onPoland 1 September 1939 ...And then, whatever finances remained to the Family were mostly Italian money of the fascist era. History tells what happened to the value of that money after the Allies invaded Sicily, and proceded to attack the mainland ofItaly, in the summer-fall of 1943. Money became useless as war rations dominated the economy, and even though, the only way to obtain useful living supplies was by bartering in the underground \"black market\". Victor however, as an avid collector, continued to accumulate his worthless pocket change, and of his family members and friends too. Today his \"pocket change\" has become valuable once again, on 21st century! More about Victor Perantoni and his collections is in our book \"Arrivederci Leopolis. The Lion\'s War\" published by Amazon.
