Pierre-Marie Dieulefils (1862-1937)Photographer-publisher in Hanoi and ParisOriginally from Malestroit (Morbihan), a non-commissioned officer in the 24th Vannes Artillery Regiment, he was sent to Tonkin in 1885. It was in 1888 that this future postcard publisher established himself with his wife in Tonkin.
His colonial photographs were presented for the first time at the Universal Exhibition of Paris in 1889. He will return to France to Josselin and then to Malestroit in 1898-1899. He was installed in the Paris region (Paris and Fontenay-aux-Roses) around 1913.
It publishes photographic reproductions of points of view, portraits and monuments of the former French colonies of the Far East and Western Morocco. His activity and the dissemination of his works ceased in the 1920s. He died in 1937.
