50g Vintage Mexican Texan Southwestern Sterling Silver Rose Gold Belt Buckle Set For Sale
Up for sale is a vintage four piece Mexican sterling silver and 10K rose gold belt buckle set with a Texan hand tooled cowhide leather belt. Silver pieces are edged to resemble braided rope and feature simple and organic floral shapes in rose gold. The leather belt is expertly embossed in an elaborate floral motif. Although this is a ladies belt, it can be worn by either sex. It measures just under 34 inches long but is a size 28, as noted on the belt; it reads 'Textan Hand Tooled 28 Genuine Cowhide Made in USA 1792B.' Together, the sterling pieces weigh in at just over 50 grams, and the buckle is marked, as seen in the photographs, 'Made in Mexico.' The sterling hallmark has rubbed of due to wear. I ran tests on the metals and they have tested positive for high content silver and 10K gold. The stitching on the leather is intact and while the leather is not too stiff it is rather soft near the tip where it is handled the most. There is no major damage to the silver as I can tell except for scuff marks, the back of the buckle has two tiny dents, the reverse side of the tip has a small crack, and the edges of the silver keeps are slightly askew.
