6 Antique Theodore Haviland Limoges France Porcelain Bone Dishes Ivory And Rose:
This is an antique set of six Theodore Haviland Limoge France crescent shaped bone dishes decorated with pink roses. The original reason for the crescent shape was that the dish could nestle next to the dinner plate on the table and be used to put fish or other bones when you were eating. In modern times, I have seen them used to float a few petals as table decorations. They belonged to my mother and she was born in 1908.
They are marked on the back Theodore Haviland Limoge France. 3 also have the words Patent Applied For. They are about 6" x 3 5/8".Florida buyers please add 7% sales tax to your total purchase.
