DESCRIPTION

Placed for saleare 6 VINTAGE STERLING SILVER CORDIAL CUPS OR GOBLETS and a SERVING TRAY (some might refer to them as shot cups and the tray as a trivet!). The trray has a sterling edge rim and black plastic laminate center. On the underside of thetrayis a description for possible uses, and informationthat it will not scratch, crack, etcand is resistent to alcohol and hot liquids.

Sorry, my old camera does not capture small details too well, obviously!

The cups measure about2.75 inches tall and the tray measures about 6.25 inches in diameter.

This sethasbeen in the dining room built in wall cabinet drawfor decades,wrapped in plastic , very seldom used, at least not in the past30 years!

Wight: Cups 0 pounds 0.6 ounces each(postal scale)

CONDITION

VERY GOODCondition fortheir age.No nicks or damage. I didgive a quickpolish. When I unwrapped them from the cling wrap there were marks from the palstic adhering to the siver for so many years. You still might detect them in picture 5 of the cordial. Withathorough polishing, they will go away!

Remember thisis oldsilver , Thishouse was occupied by the same family (Waterhouse)since it was built in 1922, most of the antique silver came from the generation before that, since my Uncle's mother was an only child, (Humphrey)as well.The Humphreyfamilytaces their roots back to the early18th Century in Weymouth Mass.Has been storedin a drydining room draw untouched for at least the last three decades, wrapped in plastic.

Just a note: I have so many other items to list, and my deadline for clearing out the house for reconstruction is 01.31.13.I don't always have the time to spendon a detailedcleaning of each item. That is why all are sold as is!
