60s Walt Disney MICKET MOUSE Bayard ALARM CLOCK France VINTAGE:

This is an original Mickey Mouse clock manufactured by the French clockmaking company, Bayard. In 1949, Walt Disney licensed its characters to the Bayard Company for use in some of their clock faces, and they continued to manufacture them up until the 70s. This clock is most likely from the late 50s or 60s, measures 5.5\"H x 4.5\"W x 2.5\"D, and has \"Bayard Mickey\" printed on the bottom of the face, along with \"Par autorisation WALT DISNEY\" along the bottom. When the clock is wound, Mickey\'s head bobs up and down, and his hands point to the time.

The clock is in good visible condition, as there are some dirt and smudges on the case, as well as a small scratch onthe top, and some paint chipping, most notable on the back around the dials. Also, there is some small rust spots on the keys.

Unfortunately, the clockdoes not run evenly when wound, and stops a short time after starting. Further functionality has not been tested.

This is a really fun piece with a great vintage vibe, and the back looks like a little smiling face. Also included with this piece is a Van Eaton Galleries Certificate of Authenticity.
