Genuine early Singer bike, it apparently originally had Singer brakes, it has been modernized at a later date with more modern Singer paint and modern parts.
Clearly not one of the more expensive bikes from the Singer production, but it's a neat little bike to ride.
It will be sent without rims or mudguards to reduce postage costs (Maxicar QR hubs included in the sale)

Extra photos below : the bike apparently was fitted with Singer brakes, the braze-ons were redone for Mafac, now fitted with modern brakes. Other parts may have been rebrazed by the Singer shop. I believe it was originally a genuine early c.1950 Singer (serial number stamped on rear DO but not very legible with the paint), but a cheaper model, without any thinning whatsoever of the lugs. It then went back (probably in the 70s) to the Singer shop to be modernized, braze-ons changed, parts modernised, new paint. Rear carrier is apprently a Singer original, front carrier "home-made". A very pleasant little bike to ride, pleasant but totally unsophisticated frame, very nice paint and decals, not a top of the line collector's item by any means. It should in my opinion be kept just the way it is, as a rider's bike, rather than try to restore it to original configuration.
