Serve in style with this lovely 67 piece set of 1847 Rogers Bros First Love silverplate. Be sure to check out all pictures for details. The chest is included, but you may elect to not take it. It is your choice. After you win the sale, I will send you an invoice that includes the chest. If you do not want the chest, please message me, and I will send a revised invoice. The First Love silverplate pattern was first introduced in 1937 by 1847 Rogers Brothers International Silver Company.

Included in this set are the following pieces:

12 Knives – 9 ¼” long (all have stainless steel tapered blades)

12 Dinner Forks – 7 ¾” long

12 Salad Forks with Diamond slot - 7" long

12 Oval Dessert/Soup spoons – 6 ¾” long

12 Teaspoons – 6 ¼” long

1 Master Butter Knife with Flat handle – 6 ¾” long

1 Sugar Spoon - 6" long

2 Serving Spoons – 8 ½” long

1 Meat Fork - 9” long

1 Fancy Embossed Chip Beef fork – 6 ¼” long

1 Tomato Server - 7 ½” long

This set is in excellent condition, but it has some tarnish. Could use a good cleaning – I will leave that to you. This set has 95% of its original luster – beautiful and shiny. Most pieces have very little scratches from use – not typical for its age. There are no bent or dented tines/blades/handles/bowls. No tarnish that I can see.

The silver chest is large (about 17” x 11 x 3½”) and accommodates this set quite nicely. The chest shows wear. Not sure of its age, but like a lot of old silver chests, it has nicks and scratches in the finish.

The interior of the chest shows similar wear. It is lined in wine colored felt. The silverware holder is secure to the bottom. Some of the material is faded and stained and worn. Behind the knives, it is embossed with “1847 Rogers Bros - 1847-1947 - 100th Anniversary - America’s Finest Silverplate.” The base has a sticker stating the same thing.

Also included is the original guarantee, a booklet about “The Care of your Silver”, and a packing slip with the packers # on it.

Silverplate is heavy, especially a set with a silver chest included. Accordingly, shipping is expensive. I ship USPS insured and the quoted price for shipping includes insurance. It takes time but I carefully wrap/package the silverplate and chest so it will arrive safely. If you elect to not take the chest, I can get the pieces in a much smaller box for reduced shipping cost and will send either Parcel Post or Priority Mail at your election. Shipping Charges are calculated to buyer’s location via USPS unless otherwise stated. Shipping and Handling includes: Insurance (for breakables), Packagi ng (tape, bubble wrap, peanuts, labels, etc), and Seller fees. Books and other Media items can be shipped Media Mail which is slower if you choose or Priority Mail (First Class if 13 oz & under). For other items over 1 pound, I will offer Priority Mail or Parcel Post. But remember, Parcel Post is always slower than Priority Mail. We are always happy to Combine Shipments! Should you purchase more than one item from us, let us know before you make your payment and we will combine your items onto one invoice for simplified payment and reduced shipping charges.
