7" Judaica Jewish Sterling Silver Passover Kiddush Cup
This magnificent, tall Kiddush cup was handmade from Sterling silver and specifically designed for the Passover holiday. It depicts in stunning detail the Exodus of the Jewish people, led by Moshe and Aharon (see photos). The words 'Zechirat Yetziat Mitzraim' (In memory of the Exodus from Egypt) are written on the top (again, see photos). The stem of the cup, as well as the circular base, are ornately decorated with stunning designs. A similar but smaller cup was featured in sale by J. Greenstein & Co. Inc. in 2005, for an estimated $2,500-$3,500 (see catalogue scan). This cup stands approximately 7" inches tall, and the top measures approximately 2.75 inches in diameter. The cup weighs approximately 6.2 ounces. It is American made, and is stamped on the bottom '925' and 'GIG'. The inside of the cup is gold-gilt.
