This is a wonderful original document, where the selectmen of (Fairfield) Connecticut have acknowledged the services of Benjamin Cujahey (Cudjoe) in Captain Stephen Hall's Regiment under Colonel Swift of the (7th Connecticut Regiment). Research showed several variants of spelling for Benjamin Cujahey...a few showed him to be of African American descent, others Native American Indian. Document is 4x5, in need of further research.
