Durga in her fiercest form. In this form Durga is seen holding her
usual attributes and seated on top of her mount, the lion. Nicely
common depictions of Durga are in a seated position, standing ones
are more rare, but very rare are the ones showing Durga astride her
lion vahana, the so-called Simhavahini. I’ve only seen one of these
on (this one) in the last ten years.
