Mr. S. started his military career with the Pennsylvania 104th Cavalry. He went to Officer's Candidate School. And paratrooper training. By Mach 1943 he got his wings. He got wounded in North Africa and wounded again in Italy. On September 17, 1944 he was the recipient of the Silver Star when he over ran a German Machine Gun And went after a 20MM flak gun and used it to subdue several mortar pits. He served in the Ardennes winter of 44-45 as a pathfinder for supply planes. This is an American Hero. See my other sales for more items from this man.Fairly nice and still folds and unfolds.
