A-1 Antique Wide Cheek Tooled Bridle Vintage Rosettes Old Buermann Bit No Spurs For Sale
What a gorgeous piece. It is rare to find this type of quality in an antique bridle. When you consider how much leather tack has been made in the past 300 years, it's hard to believe that there is so little of the good stuff out there. But then, tack was made to be used so I guess it's not that surprising. Here is an opportunity to add a truly great piece to your collection. And, there is no reason this can't be used. Great for reenactments, SASS events, Historical Society functions or just for "show and tell." The leather has no cracks, breaks or repairs and has a wonderful, golden honey patina. The vintage brass rosettes on the top measure 2 1/8" in diameter and the unusual, symbolshapedbrass conchos measure 2 1/4". Attached to the bridle is a classic, globe bit. The maker's mark wore away long ago but these bits were a Buermann specialty. When I got this piece, it did not have reins so I added a new pair of leather ones to complete the look and make it ready to use.
