QIANLONG PERIOD EXPORT FAMILLE ROSE PLATEITEM DESCRIPTIONA beautifully decorated plate painted in a variation of the popular Rockefeller pattern. The plate depicts 8 figures in a palace landscape surrounded by a gilt border overlaid with 8 medallions with paintings of flowers and landscapes in monochrome.
The plate measures approximately 11.8 inches across and dates to the late Qianlong Period, between 1790 and 1810.
The plate is in very good condition with minor to the foot and some minor fritting to the edge of the rim (shown in photos). The wear is consistent with a plate that is 200+ years old. There are no cracks. There is some discoloration to the back of the plate which is original to the manufacture.
Overall a stunning piece of Chinese Export Ware from a highly desireable period in the Qing Dynasty.
