A Fabulous Georgian Novelty Baroque Pearl Ostrich Ring Circa 1790's:
This is a Fabulous Georgian Novelty Baroque Pearl Ostrich Ring Circa 1790’s.
The ring consists of a silver Ostrich that has got a Baroque Pearl Ostrich as its belly and a Ruby set in the eye a rose cut diamonds set in the tail.
The dimensions of the head of the ring are 17mm by 17mm.
There is a thin gold band shank on the ring that tests as 15ct yellow gold and is currently sized a British R½ / USA 9 but could be resized up or down by us free of charge.
The ring is in very good condition with no visible damage or any missing stones and is still very much wearable.
Georgian novelty rings were very popular with the upper classes during this time as they were used as a talking point at social events and masquerade balls.
