A Fine & Rare Wm Moorcroft For Liberty & Co "pansy" Pattern Tudric Biscuit Box. For Saleheight="28px" valign="middle" face="arial" style="text-decoration:none" sale today we have this Fine & Rare William Moorcroft for Liberty & Co "Pansy" Pattern Tudric Biscuit Barrel. The barrel is of cylindrical form with a polished beaten pewter lid, rim and base. The pottery section is glazed to a mottled deep blue ground and tubeline decorated with a circle of 6 beautiful large Pansy heads, coloured to pinks and purples along with their associated foliage in pale green. Thisexceptional piece is 5" tall x 4 1/8" dia. The planished pewter base is stamped H (for William H Haseler, silversmith, Birmingham), Made in England, Tudric Moorcroft and 01329 for the model No. Dates to circa 1926.
In fine condition with no chips or cracks, the piece has had a professional repair to the neck rim (mostly under the pewter) but displays as mint (please see pics). The pewter itself has been professionally polished to bring it back to it's original high shine condition. Any questions please feel free to message me.
