Description: Offered is a good victorian microscope oil lamp signed on the base James How, Foster lane, London.
The lamp stands on a heavy cast iron base. At one side is the brass lacquered support rod on which slides the main support fo the lamp. The lamp bottle unscrews at the top to allow it to be filled with oil. The porcelain shade is supported on a brass collar whose height can be adjusted.
Condition: cosmetically the lamp is in good condition retaining much of the original lacquer and black paint. The shade is in good condition with no damage.
