A Good Southbend Studebaker 21 Jewel Running Pocket Watch Movement No Res :
Here's a pretty Southbend 21 jewel Studebaker pocket watch movement. This movement seems to me to run ok but may stop before it winds down. The dial is great though THE MINUTE HAND IS MISSING. This is perhaps a 10 size or 12 size. We are trading here in machines that are over 100 years of age. Though its running now I cant predict how well it runs under all circumstances. Whether it runs fast or slow or how dependable it is. It is not likely that this movement has been serviced in a long time. THERE APPEARS to be a bit of toning or corrosion on some of the gears and parts that can be seen from my pix. I consider it to be trivial. BUY IT AT !!
Dear friends: I have indicated the faults here as I see them. YOU ARE BUYING THIS ITEM ON AN "AS IS" BASIS FROM AN ESTATE BUYER, NOT A PROFESSIONAL WATCH MAKER.
This is an sale and not a buy it, try it and return it if you take a notion to. I DO TAKE RETURNS WHEN I MISREPRESENT AN ITEM (perhaps by accident or whatever) , but not if you have buyers remorse. This is an sale, not a retail store.I was privileged to have purchased many fine things from the home workshop of Mr J P Stevens in Atlanta many years ago. Depending upon interest I will be listing many items from his estate, including his 1913 Seneca Falls engine lathe and other interesting and historical items from the estate of this famous watchmaker, horologist and inventor. Please pay immediately with Paypal. Shipping will be $5.95 for Priority Mail Postage with a delivery confirmation,
