Here is a Vintage Original Period Piece Cabinet Card of a Black Face White Man. He is dressed to a 'T' in plaid trousers with black felt lines running up to his waist and fancy dress shoes. His circus showman coat, exaggerated bow tie, over-sized corsage of flowers and white silk shirt with exaggerated 5 inch collars, makes his head look small. His large top hat, slim walking stick and rolled cord color belt, tops off this fabulous wardrobe. He may be trying to imitate Mr. Bojangles. He is the forerunner of Al Jolson. The card reads Peck Taylorville Illinois. It is imperial size and measures 8 1/4 inches by 4 inches. The card is in fine condition, no folds or stains, but shows some age wear. Subject and rare size of cabinet card, makes this item very collectible.
