Hi,i have for sale a lovely French red tortoise shell boulle style drum head mantle clock that is very good working condition.This clock has a lovely red tortoise shell facia with inlays of cut engraved brass swirls and floral swags etc.The movement was made by Vincenti and strikes a small silvered bell once on the half hour and to the number of hours on the hour.The clock dial is white enamel and has the name of Bright and Sons Paris,this is also stamped on the movement.The case is very nicely detailed with intricate patterns of inlay brass work,the case is ebonised wood.There is a brass ball buttonmoulding on the base and a cast brass floral decoration mid section.The head is fronted by two cast brass floral swags.The measurments are 16 inches wide x 6 inches deep x 12 inches high.The case dates to around the 1870's and the movement is similar in date.I dont know if this is a marraige though as i would have expected a brass / red dial but i could be wrong.The dial has a convex glass bezel and there is a brass bead on the drum head,the rear has a glass door.The condition is very nice and in good shape for its age.There is the usual line shrinkage on the tortoise shell and there is a small section of brass inlay work missing on the bottom right hand of the base.This has been filled in with antique gold paint whci has been done to a reasonable standard.Because it is low dow,it is not really noticeable.The black ebony top also has a series of age related marks here and there.The bottom edge of the base has some touch up repairs.The clock does look nice though and the white enamel dial is in superb condition with just a small chip on the left hand key hole.Full setup instructions will be sent along with a key.

The postage will be £10 to send to England,Wales and some parts of Scotland.This will cost more for Northern Ireland,outer UK Islands and Highlands.When paid for,this will be ordered for collection on the next day.Sometimes the courier may take up to two days to collect.I can send this overseas but please ask for a price.Many thanks for looking(;o)
