An Extremely Early, RARE, Pennsylvania German ,Extremely Gorgeous, South East Pennsylvania ( Most Likely Chester County ,Pa. ) Miniature Blanket Or Document Chest ,Having The Finest Inlaid Pinwheels That You'll ever see, on a Miniature Chest from this Time Frame. The Inlaid Pinwheels are a combination of Butternut Wood and Walnut. The Chest itself is Walnut Wood. The Case is Mitered and Dovetailed. The Snipe Hinges are original to the Chest ,and are amazing to see on a Chest this old ,intact. The Lock and keeper are Missing ,the Keyhole Escutcheon is original. The Case rests on Moulded ( Shoe) Feet Runners. It is dated lightly on the Bottom Plank " 1763". It needs nothing and is in ready to use or display condition !!! It measures 16" across the front x 9 3/4" wide x about 7 1/2" high. This would have an estimated Shop or Show Value of between 3,500.00 and 5 Grand , or more.
