Ornate Chased Engraved Candle Holder

Stunning brass candlesticks in pose of \'striking’ cobra. Red gem stone eyes.

The brass is a lovely golden colour with a niello-style design.

Beautiful markings, ornately engraved/chased.

From the look, feel and wear to the brass, my best guess date-wise is late 19th century.

Approximate Measurements: 23cm tall x 21cm wide x 17.5cm

Condition

Item is in good, used, condition – wear commensurate with age and use. As it is handmade it has ‘imperfections’ There is the usual age-related wear as to be expected from such old pieces There are some residues of old polish. I have left in original, untouched condition. This is a pre-owned and pre-loved item.
