A Rare Bamboo Tea Caddy Incised Poem with a Traditional dance-19th C. :

Korea, Joseon dynasty, 18th – early 19th Century.

This extremely rare as a Korean tea caddy incised both sides with poems and

a traditional dance in a its traditional costumes, and with its carver’s name and a seal, and a man with a Korean traditional dance,

It’s an oval or half moon shape of bamboo tea caddy, its surfaces are turned to dark redish brown patina,

its red lacquer applied overall, and now only small traces spotted on the bamboo surfaces.

It’s in fine condition but between the bamboos is slightly separated.

It measures 14.7cm x 9.2cm x 7cm.
