A Rare Old Dogon \"Blind\" Male ancestor sculpture, African Art:
$695.00

A very old and interesting carved wooden male idol with an archaic style face and abstract form, including \"cubist\" like shoulders and form and hands in prayer holding a staff. Note the area of the eyes has not been carved, suggesting \"seeing\" without eyes, perhaps a reference to divination. From the Dogon peoples of Mali, West Africa. This figure measures 13.5 inches tall ( 15.25 inches on custom wooden display stand)
My name is Todd Zieseniss and I have been selling African, Asian and Pre-columbian Tribal Arts for nearly 25 years.
