An Indian Colonial silver jug

A.Bhicajee & Co., Bombay, c.1890

the body with a spout formed as a tigers open mouth, the handle as an Elephants head, stamped to the base with the makers mark.

In excellent condition

Size: 9 cm high

Note:

This jug isunusual being made in Bombay but ofthe Madras style, a very similar cream jug is catalogue number 107 in 'Delight in Design, Indian Silver for the Raj', V.Dehejia, p.214.
