A Very Fine White Jade Handle and Mirror Back Hand Held Mirror-18th-19th C.:
China, Qing dynasty, 18th to 19th century.
The mirror inset is round shape with a floral foliage around in gilt copper frame, a very fine
white jade handle with a scrolled end with a pear flower head carved both ends decorated with over incised
with 3pheonyx medallions on the front and 3Chinese characters “Shou-logivity”, its mirror back attached
with also fine white jade with reach green veins in plain decoration, and also gilt overinlaid floral blossoms are
between handle and mirror, all its hand held mirror decorated luxuriously with gilt floral decoration and very fine white jades in hadle and back
It’s in excellent condition without any damages except age-related discoloration to the glass, otherwise very fine condtion.
It measures 23cm overall, mirror: 9cm x 9cm, a visual hand held jade: 11.8cm c 2.8cm. or
13.5cm including jade inserted into the gilt copper frame.
