A Late Victorian Photo Album Containing 144 Photos of the Mediterranean to include France, Greece, Sicily and Capri. Unusually this album contains 2 original photos of the Olympic opening or closing ceremony in 1896, these are possibly two of only a handful of contemporary photos of this event to still exist. All photos are annotated on the back with their locations.

Measurements - (approx) each photo - 4“ wide x 3.5“ high.

Condition - There is little wrong with any of these photos. They are all over 110 years old but show little signs of foxing. Some have minor dog earring and small tears but all are hidden within the borders. The album has some rips on the mounting and the spine front cover has become detached from the spine but is still attached to the back cover.

I have tried to upload as many photos as possible but have had to choose the most interesting ones, pictures of all the other pages are available on request.

This is a great rare lot and would be the feather in the cap of any collector of photographic images.
