The AAGPBL was conceived, financed and organized by Phillip K. Wrigley, the owner of the Chicago Cubs and a group of colleagues in Chicago in 1943. These women baseball players were feminine pioneers with superb skills who added a totally new dimension to the great American game of baseball.

The card fronts contain B&W photos with colored highlights, backs are two-colored. Printed on high quality, glossy stock .
