Abt Challenger Penny Arcade Machine Trade Stimulator Coin Op Shooting Gun Game For Sale
** RE-LISTED DUE TO HIGH buyer NOT COMPLETING TRANSACTION **
Offering for sale this guaranteed original
1946 TARGET SKILL countertop penny arcade game.
I have sold several of these ABT machines over the past few months – most of them have had some amount of restoration performed. This is a desirable UN-RESTORED machine that retains the ORIGINAL top glass with paper labels, the ORIGINAL top metal cast head with original paint and original window glass, the ORIGINAL back door with original paper instruction sheet and period lock, and the ORIGINAL serial number label with date.
Think about it - how challenging is it to find a 67 year-old arcade machine that has remained virtually UNTOUCHED? Consider how these machines - produced as commodity money-makers - were so heavily used/abused and then discarded? Or - - retained, but have had to have some level of restoration or replacement parts installed?
This is a fine example of a bone-stock original and un-restored ABT Challenger.
*Notice how nice the original bronze-colored target balls are*
*Notice the condition of the target plate - including the original chrome-headed screws*
The machine is 100% mechanical. After dropping a penny into the slot on the
gun, the patron pushes down on the lever on the right side. This action unlocks
the gun trigger, and resets the targets.
WATCH THE VIDEO (below) TO SEE IT WORK – IT’S AWESOME!!!
To play this vintage trade stimulator you insert a penny in the slot alongside the gun and push down on the lever on the right side. That resets the score and unlocks the gun trigger.
You then take aim through the glass sight
and pull the trigger. Each shot hurls a pellet at the target.
For each target you strike, the top bronze/copper ball comes into view.
After 10 shots the trigger locks and the
gun is ready to accept a new penny.
The game works very well. Sometimes the gun shoots out 2 balls at once - but overall it shoots strong and plays well.
The machine has its original paper serial number tag still intact - see photo. The date on the serial tag is 1946.
The back door is the original wood and it has the original paper instruction label. The machine has a period lock with an original key.
The machine measures 11 inches wide X 15 high X 30 long.
It is expensive to package and ship these so they don't incur damage. The buyer will pay $70. for shipping. I have perfected a packing method for these machines to avoid chances of damage. If you are in the greater Los Angeles area and would like to come inspect the machine and/or pick it up in lieu of shipping that's fine with me. Please contact me via message system and provide a phone number to contact you to make an appointment.
Please ask any and all questions prior to placing a offer – the unit is sold as-is. As with all vintage coin-op games of this period it might require some adjustment and/or maintenance from time to time – that is the nature of these machines. Review my recent response for similar vintage coin op machines – It is overwhelmingly positive. offer with confidence.
Have a look at my other sales –there are several nice examples of other trade stimulators and other penny arcade coin op machines now and coming over the next several weeks.Get your own valid XHTML YouTube embed code
