This sale is for an adorable1931 composition Horsman Baby Buttercup. She is 16" tall and the circumference of her head is 13 1/4". She is pictured in Doll Values, Antique to Modern, Eleventh Edition by Linda Edward on page 158. Her head, full dimpled arms and full, chubby legs are compositionand have been repaired, painted and sealed against crazing. She has all her fingers and toes.As shown in the pics, her cloth body is age stained but it is sturdy. Her crier no longer works.Buttercup has her original celluloid over tin green eyes with original lashes. The lashes on theleft eye are a bit short but they're there. She has single-stroke brows, painted upper and lower lashes and a red metal tongue. Buttercup iswearing a vintagehome-made dresswith a vintage flannel doll diaper. Her booties are old store stock and her lace-trimmed bonnet is new to her. Buttercup has got to be one of the cutest little compo babies made and this one is ready to be treasured again!
