Lovely find from a selective Aladdin Lamp Collector\'s treasure trove. This is an exceptional Aladdin Vertique Moonstone Rose B-87, Nu-Type B Burner Lamp. Lox On Aladdin Chimney, Wick & Flame Spreader are included. There is much more information available from the Aladdin Lamps info websites on dates of production, models, etc. We are going with collector\'s description as he knew far more than we do, having owned many hundreds of Aladdin Lamps (and we verified with the Aladdin Collectors Guide books & sites). These were only issued in 1938.
We only gently cleaned the lamp. There is no fuel in lamp. The lamp is in really excellent condition with the glass almost mint. Any minor blips will be noted below.
Wick raiser seems to work well when turned.
We photographed from all sides. The lamp is in really nice shape and almost looks mint. There are some nice production bubbles in this lamp which add to antique appeal. There may be a tiny split or two where the brass connector meets the font (very common on these) and there is the normal discoloring to connector. We photoed with and without flash as the Rose (Pink) looks a little different in different lighting as you can see in pictures. The burner is also very nice, with only a few minor imperfections, but nicer than many of what you see for sale or sold. We found one tiny 1/8\" flake on lower edge as pictured, otherwise it is a very clean lamp. There could be other tiny blemishes or production blips, but they would be minimal as we look over items thoroughly.
These do not come up on often and are usually only found in specialty sales, antique shops or boutiques. We are starting sale below estimated value to allow collectors to decide. Please look over all pictures and use zoom if needed. We do our best to describe in detail what we see and are painstaking in our packing. We do not offer returns, but have not been asked for one either based on condition. If an item arrives damaged, all items are fully insured and you can file a claim with USPS or FedEx and we will assist. In over 1000 delicate item sales we have had only two items sustain damage and both were out of US sales.We have a second one like this listed as well for sale.
