Alaska Eskimo Inuit "faux Ivory" Letter Opener Carving Hunting Boat Walrus For Sale
This is an sale for a beautiful Inuit (or Eskimo) "faux ivory" or ox-bone letter opener carving of an Eskimo (Inuit) hunting scene with a boat, harpoon (spear), and walrus. This carving measures 6" across and 3/4" tall. The carving has dimension and depth and sits upright with a flat base. It feels fairly heavy for its size so it could be from a walrus tusk. It has a beautiful patina and great detail. Be sure to check out my other Inuit (Eskimo) ivory and/or ox bone carvings. These are great display pieces that would look great in an office or home.
