Since most of the items that I sell are either antique, vintage or just plain old, I can\'t possibly list all the small defects.
This is a very vintage all composition Madame Alexander doll in beautiful condition.
The composition is high color with very little if no crazing.
Sonja Henie was a Norwegian born three time Olympic gold metal figure skating champion
Born in 1912 the 5\'2\" Henie died of Leukemia in 1969.
This beautiful doll measures 21\" with her skates on.
Her eyes were crystallized so they have been painted with a transparent paint to make her alive again!
Her human hair wig is still in the original set.
Even though the doll itself is in very good condition her clothing suffered from the attic storage that it probably endured.
The tagged dress was extremely faded and discolored with pretty much non-existent marabou boa.
I have dyed the dress back to close to the original color and replaced the boa with a new one.
The boa is a bit stiffer than the original which makes the skirt stand out more than it probably originally did.
Her panties are the original color and new elastic has been added.
Her hat also has new marabou and flowers similar to the original.
Her skates are fragile and have lot some of their gold color, one blade is broken.
The box was very brittle but i saved the bottom with the label and will include it with the doll.
