VINTAGE HAND EMBROIDERED FLORAL AMERICAN MAP

This is such an amazing piece that is going to look absolutely stunning once it's reframed. Dated 1961 and signed in embroidery by the creator: "To Bev With Love, Mother." I don't know who the stitcher was of this piece, but she did a fantastic job. It is cotton stitching on linen. The detailing of all of the State flowers are perfectly gorgeous. The base shade of the linen is a rich ivory/antique color. The embroidery is done in a vast and fantastic array of different colors. The condition is still very good; It will look even better once its reframed. On the fabric that is on the outer border of the piece, there are some spots and yellowing from the previous framing. There are no holes or missing stitching in these piece. The fabric is still sturdy. In the embroidered part of the map I found one small, pale spot that is hard to see....It is up near the Canadian border between North Dakota and Montana. Hard to see and definitely doesn't detract from the overall lovely looks of this vintage piece. The total fabric size is 26" x 21" and the size of the embroidered area is 19 3/8" x 12 3/4" ----THANKS FOR LOOKING! Nellie

I ship three times a week. Normally Mon., Wed., and Fri. I offer the cheapest shipping available for each item; and all transit is done through the USPS, unless otherwise specified. NO HANDLING Fees, only a very minimal AT COST charge for packaging.
