Amazing 25” Swivel Head Block Letter Fg French Fashion Poupee W/trunk/trousseau:
Here is one of the most gorgeous, outstanding, huge, closed mouth, swivel head, block letter FG / Francious Gaultiare French Fashion Poupee along with her original wooden trunk and trousseau. As you can see from the pictures, it’s packed with everything she could ever want or need. This is her original trunk and it is going to be up to the winner if you want the trunk or not. The reserve of the doll and all her asessarious will be the same, the only difference will be the shipping cost. This is a heavy, solid wooden, oak (I think) trunk that is 26” x 13” x 15” and weights almost 25 pounds. It was taken to the post office for shipping costs, so if you wanted the trunk, shipping in the US by priority mail will be $135.00 and out of the US will be express mail only and will cost $275.00. This fabulous French fashion fits nicely inside the trunk with all her assesorios. With or without the trunk this FG comes with everything you see, cloths, shoes, bonnets, stockings, toiletries , jewelry, purses, fans, books, sewing kit and so much more that I can’t begin to list, but, I have taken pictures of everything. The inside of the trunk is excellent and lined with antique material with a fabulous paper Litho women in the middle. There is a removable shelf with a covered compartment on one side along with a panel on the lid that drops down for more storage. As stated, I think the trunk is oak, heavy and is sturdy with metal straps, brass tacks along with the original leather handles on each side. She is an amazing FG bride with all the proper articles in her trousseau. She is 25" tall and marked with the number 7 on her head and block letters FG on her shoulder plate with the number 7 on the other shoulder was made in the mid 1800's by the Francious Gaultiare Factory, and is an outstanding large size. She has beautiful pressed, pale, smooth, cream bisque with no chips, cracks or hairlines and her coloring is fantastic. She has huge bulge wrap around, almond shaped, spiral thread, blue glass paperweight eyes along with heavy painted upper and lower lashes and dark liner high lighting her gorgeous eyes. The sculpting and detail to her face is outstanding and the shading to her closed mouth and full lips is stunning. She has a beautiful full face with her original cork pate over her original human hair wig. Her wig is thick and long and pulled back on the sides to show off her beautiful face and she has her original antique glass or peril earrings. She has a swivel head on a fabulous detailed shoulder plate that again is marked FG 7. Her original, muslin body with kid leather arms is just about perfect with no rips, holes or repairs and nice and clean. The body is gusseted at the thighs and knees and has a blue stamp on her chest and top of her feet, but I just can’t make it out. It seem to be familiar but I can’t pin point what it says. She has soft, white, kid leather arms with individual fingers that are perfect and she can pose any way you want. She is stuffed nice and firm with a wonderful tiny waist, chunky thighs and a bigger butt. I have taken pictures of her in each dress, starting with her stunning wedding gown so you can see the detail, color and fit of each. Her wedding dress is outstanding with silk, smocking, lace, bows and long sleeves and is wonderfully full with a tight waist and longer in back so it appears to have a bussel and a flowing train. The pattern on the lace is wonderful and she is holding one of the 2 ivory fans. Her long lace veil is gorgeous with gathers across the top with a band of delicate flowers. She is also wearing an ermine stole to keep her warm after the wedding and it can go with almost every outfit she has. Including her wedding dress, the light tan, darker brown and black beaded gowns are one piece and the red and blue gowns are 2 piece. The 2 piece blue silk traveling dress is my favorite due to the fringe on the shoulders, down the skirt and around the bottom. Each outfit has a matching bonnet that in most cases can be intertwined for any dress and occasion. She also comes with her original long night dress with long sleeves and a proper high neck. It’s snow white and cotton with fabulous lace panels and smocking on top along with a matching lacy night bonnet. Her original long pantaloons have scalloped edges of hand tied eyelet designs and buttons at the waist. She has a wonderful antique corset that laces up the front and a full antique slip that is longer in back with scalloped eyelet designs around the bottom. Along with all her underwear she also has a wonderful hoop slip or frame. I have her wearing the hoop frame under the brown, red, black and tan silk gowns and it really gives that added fullness to each dress and I’m sure it would look fantastic with the others. Amongst all her posessions are 3 pair of stocking and 3 pairs leather shoes. Now, I am going to try and mention all her items but you really need to look at the pictures as there are a lot of little pieces that I’m sure I will miss. She has an antique toiletry set still attached to the backing that includes a comb, brush, power puff, hand mirror, sponge and what I think is some kind of eyebrow brush. She is wearing her string of pearls and pearl earing. There are 6 other sets of jewelry in the original wrappers and all have a necklets and earrings. There is a larger black case that has more individual pieces of jewelry, including broaches, chocker's, pins and a cameo necklace. Next is a bigger fan covered in white fluffy feathers along with a smaller ivory fan along with 3 books 2 of which actually have written pages and the light tan book is her journal that comes with a tiny tiny pencil. Next, is the big red case that holds 6 purses hanging inside. They are metal, beads, silver, silver mesh, leather and beads and all of them open to 1 or 2 pockets and my favorite is her oyster shell purse with red lining. Now moving on, there is a tiny hair comb in the original box, a deck of playing cards in the box tied with a silk ribbon and a sewing kit with scissors, button hook, pin cushion and perfume bottle. Next is a fabulous strand of antique rosary beads in a silver case, a large antique cream and pink beaded silk pillow that I’m not sure what it is but maybe it’s a pillow to holds the wedding rings. Last but not least are 2 small, antique paper Litho boxes what can easily hold just about anything she has. I know one thing, the original owners must have spent years gathering all these French fashion accessories and for sure I have never had a French Fashion this stunning, with this vast amount of amazing antique outfits, bonnets, along with all kinds assorious for her trousseau, in her original trunk. This is an absolutely gorgeous, huge block letter FG Poupee and would make the crowing glory to any French Fashion collection. This exquisite, original 25" FG French Fashion with all her extra’s a and trunk should sell for well over $6500.00 but my reserve is less so don't let her get away. Lucky winner pays for, the doll and all the extra’s minus the trunk $46.00 S/I and international would be more. NOTE: With the wooden trunk shipping will be $135.00 for in the US and $275.00 express mail outside the US so keep that in mind when you offer. Email any questions and thanks for looking.
