How exquisite is this?

This is amongst the most divine, characterful and charismatic necklaces we have ever listed!

It is also amongst the most beguiling andfrustrating!

Frustrating because, I am unable to ascertain who exactly the designer actually IS!

It tests fully for Sterling silver throughout, and is stamped to the clasp with a 'G' and an 'L' either side of a curious motif/logo or possibly ANOTHER modified 'G' to its side.

To the integral fastening eyelet, its is stamped 'GGL', rather like the Georg Jensen LONDON Ltd stamp, together with another Hallmark/stamp which is rubbed.

It has also been suggested to me by more than one jeweller that this may be from a Georg Jensen factory. I can not, of course, guarantee it, and ultimately I don't think it MATTERS who the designer is.

What I CAN guarantee is that this is a superb quality piece of solid silver jewellery to crown any collection, and a MUST have piece for lovers of SERPENTS!

As can be seen, this is a beautifully crafted flat curb slinky necklace, which incorporates an integral SNAKE or serpent, biting his tail.

This is a long established symbol, very popular in VICTORIAN times, representing ever-lasting LOVE, the never-ending loop created by the snake depicting eternity.

This IS a vintage piece, possibly from the 1960's, having some patina and accumulated detritus, dirt to some of the links, although it WILL obviously polish up gleaming and NEW-like, if desired.

It measures around 18 inches long 'wearable length', and it weighs a SOLID and substantial 17.9 grams, 0.57 Troy ounces.

As can be seen, it is beautifully well made with great attention to detail and other than the blemishes descibed, is in a very good, all original condition.
