Description: STRAIGHT SIDED SS COCA COLA CROWN TOP BOTTLE, JACKSON, TENN., Amber, Applied Top, Height 8\", Circa 1910-1915. COCA-COLA SCRIPT inside circle arrow front and back. REGISTERED COCA COLA BOTTLE WKS. near the heel on the front. JACKSON, TENN. near the heel on the back.The bottom is embossed with COCA COLA script.Condition: NEAR MINT CONDITION - no chips, cracks, or repairs. It has a tiny fish eye bruise on the shoulder of the bottle which is not noticeable when displayed, (no glass missing). It also has one spot of wear on the bottom of the lip, otherwise it\'s a mint bottle. This attic example is a beautiful amber color that you could proudly display in your bottle collection. FAKE PURPLE Coca-Cola BottlesBecareful when buying Straight Sided and Hobble-skirt Coca-Cola bottles with a Deep Purple (Cobalt Blue) and/or a so called Black AMETHYST color. Dark purple is not anatural color for these bottles and is caused by irradiating olderbottles. The older Coke bottles had manganese that will turn the bottledark purple when irradiated. There are some naturally occurring bottleswith a light amethyst/purple or pink tint - leaving them out in prolongedsunlight (SCA) will darken the tint (but they will NEVER become a Dark (Blue) (Black) Amethyst). Also, sellers use the private buyer routine so knowledgeable collectors and sellers can\'t warn you that the so called rare bottle you are offerding on is worthless.
