Ansonia Rare Blue Antique Porcelain Mantel Clock Original Beautiful - Runs Great For SaleInternal Error This is an EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL example of a Hand Painted and Beautifully Decorated PORCELAIN Ansonia Mantle Clock in NEAR ALL ORIGINAL SUPERIOR condition. This clock is one of the most precious clocks we have seen in a long time a very rare BEAUTIFUL color indeed. This clock runs great and is in just about perfect condition! No chips or cracks. This clock was made circa 1890 by the Ansonia Clock Company. It is a very classy, beautiful mantle clock in need of a warm loving home. It has a classic design. It has a signed "Ansonia, made in USA " 8 day time and strike movement which chimes on the half-hour and counts the hours on the hour with a cathedral gong with a sound that is very pleasant! The hand painted porcelain pictures are original and perfect. The case is very beautiful! The SIGNED hand painted case is made of porcelain in a beautiful Victorian Style in like new condition. No cracks or breaks. The dial is original, but the paper part is a correct replacement, and is in superior condition. Very crisp numbers! The clock has an adjustment for slow and fast on the dial (see picture) – this way you don’t have to take the clock off the shelf to “fine tune” the timekeeping. This fine clock its original adjustable antique Ansonia Pendulum and the new double ended key, very rare for a clock to have its original pendulum and key!! One end to wind the clock and the other to adjust the time for slow and fast. The solid brass around the dial is heavy duty, beautiful and original and looks and works like new. The hands are original. The clock measures 11 inches high, 6 inches deep and 13 inches wide. The movement runs very well and keeps good time. These antique clocks amaze me - could you imagine any other consumer product still working after nearly over 100 years! And the truly amazing thing with proper care they will work easily past the next 100 years! I wonder what the maker would think; 100 years + later this product is still working like new and listed on the world wide internet! Antique Clocks are a Fine Investment.
