An Anstice, Horton and Rose Coalport Teapot, C.1800. Lovely gilt work with orange highlights. Finial has been re-attached. No other restoration. Only slight gilt loss on the finial and on the lid. This pot displays very nicely. A fine example of late 18th early 19th Century neo-classic taste. Approximately 10 inches from spout to handle. Approximately 7 inches high. Seller ships to the U.S. only and deliveries go out on Tuesday and Thursday. Shipping via UPS Ground so a street address is required.

Sydney M.Powers Teapot Collection: Thispot comes from the SMP Teapot Collection. The emphasis of thecollection spanned a time frame from 1740 to 1875. No two teapots were thesame, all were of English origin. At one point there were over 500teapots in the collection. As is common with Teapots of this period, many needed to be restored. Some received museum restoration (basicstabilizing) while others received a more complex restoration, including painting, glazing and gilt work. Sydney was a certified, trained professional restorer. She worked on her collection for 38years before donating them to the Marc-James Museum in 2003. Many ofthe pots are being sold... space is an issue. These teapots areintended for display purposes, not for use. Please keep that in mindwhen offerding. The last photo shows Sydney Powers with some of the teapots on display at Marc-James Museum, 2003.
