For your consideration is this fantastic antique Kiowa Indian hand beaded Strike-A-Lite bag, circa 1880s era. Handmade from buffalo hide, intricate seed beads pattern and colors. Lots of large tin cones provide joyful jiggles! braided sinew adds more fabulous accents. In very good condition for its age. From a private collector in the Midwest.

**The Kiowas are a tribe ofNative Americans whomigrated from western Montana southward into the Rocky Mountains in Colorado in the 17th and 18th centuries, and finally into theSouthern Plainsby the early 19th century. In 1867, the Kiowa were moved to a reservation in southwestern Oklahoma, where most still reside. They are world renown for their beautiful and intricate beadwork.**
