ANTIQUE 18thC GEORGIAN SOLID SILVER SUGAR BASKET & CREAM PAIL, B DAVENPORT c1774 Description

Antique 18th Century rare Georgian Neo-Classical Solid Silver set comprising sugar basket and cream pail, each of circular form, the body beautifully pierced with geometric motifs and applied with swags and paterae, each piece raised on a beaded foot and with rope-work swing handle. Very high workmanship, both with hand engraved initials in an oval cartouche and blue glass liners. Each Hallmarked English Silver (925 Sterling), London, the larger piece year 1774 (T), the smaller year 1776 (a), on both Maker's mark BD (Burrage Davenport).

Condition

In Great Condition - No damage, just general wear.
