Antique 1906 Western Electric Fan - Tank Motor With 6 Brass Blades:
1906 WESTERN ELECTRIC FAN
TANK MOTOR WITH BRASS BLADES
This sale is for one antique Western Electric Tank Window or Exhaust Fan, circa 1906. We have not seen many of these and this is without a doubt the best example of this particular fan we have ever found. It has very nice original paint with minimal chipping or scratching. The 6 blades are heavy brass and look great with zero bends (beautiful patina). The blades turn without wobble and actually push a great deal of air. The headwire is all original with bits of the covering fraying here and there. The rest of the wiring does not look to be original but has been replaced with a newer cloth cord that is correct for the period (the plug looks to be in good shape). It runs extremely fast when plugged in and has one speed. The brass tag is still in place and near perfect. Patented Oct. 9, 1906, Sept. 6, 1910, Dec. 6, 1910. This fan was pulled from an older home and was up high and out of the way ... so it has not been mistreated or even handled in many decades (really hard to find these days in this kind of condition). The blades will be removed and packed separately for shipment, so please let us know if you have a problem with this (we don't recommend shipping antique fans with the blades intact but will do it if requested by the buyer). Questions are welcome. We are starting the sale low with so good luck and have fun!
