Antique 19th Century Japanese Meiji Satsuma Dragon Ware Tea Set For Sale
For sale is a Meiji period
(1868-1912) Japanese satsuma dragon ware tea set. The set comprises a
tea pot, sugar pot, cup and saucer. The decoration consists of
scrolling dragons and congregation of nobleman. The satsuma signature(signed on each piece)is comprehensive and I have not had the proper resources to identify
who the maker/s are. This is a fine example of the quality of dragon
ware produced in the Meiji period and is far superior than the 20th
century dragon ware.
