Antique 19thc Victorian Walnut Jewellery Or Sewing Work Box, Brass Handle & Key For Sale
An
exceptionally fine antique Victorian walnut jewellery and/ or sewing box, in
complete original condition with working key and a brass carrying handle to the
lid.
The inside is cushion lined to the lid in lime green silk held in place with
gold silk buttons, with a pull out tray lined with the same silk and green
velvet. The base interior of the box is also lined in green silk - all
original.
The lift out tray has a central compartment for a watch or bracelet, two ring
compartments to each side and four other compartments. The lock and key are in
good working order, but it's worth noting that the key can not be removed from
the keyhole once locked.
