I try to keep a nice mix of fine and costume pieces that range in age from 19th century Victorian to late 20th century vintage designer couture. My offering to start off the month of March is by far the best this year. There are several exceptional Victorian and Art Deco pieces mixed with some outstanding designer costume. Fresh from a fine Texas estate comes a dazzling antique art deco era sterling silver unfoiled open back bezel set crystal rhinestone necklace. The necklace measures approx 15" long x 3/8" wide(the stones measure approx 8mm in diameter). It is marked "STERLING" on the catch(I do believe the catch is a later replacement although the bezels do test as sterling). I found small chips in one stone(see photo #7). Aside from that, the condition is very fine and the necklace displays beautifully as it is.
