ITEM: --YOU ARE offerDING ON A GREAT OLD LIKELY 1930'S - 40S CHALKWARE CARNIVAL PRIZE FIGURINE --A well conceived and brightly colored pin-up girl depiction of a faux island Hawaii hula girl emerging from a shell - A Fantastic addition to any chalkware or Hula or Tiki or pin-up collection ! Great condition with original paint and surface Measures 11 1/2 tall with but very light wear commensurate with age. Many of these surviving old chalkware figures were of course carnival prizes at the Midways of State Fair's and Carnivals during the 1930's 40's & 50's. When I was a kid in the 1970's a typical carnival prize for "winning" at a game of chance was a small mirror with the graphics of some soon to be forgotten rock band on the front. These by comparison are pretty great and we have a nice collection posting on !
It is in excellent condition - and pretty risque for the day and as a carnival prize !
