Antique Chinese Export Silver Mug - 18th Century For Sale

This antique silver mug is fresh from a Rhode Island estate! I believe this mug was made in China as the owner of the estate this mug came from had one of the largest collections of Chinese Export silver in the country. Barrel shape mugs were popular in both Chinese export porcelain and silver. I believe this mug dates from the late 18th or very early 19th century. The hand made mug stands 5 1/2 inches tall and measures 3 1/2 inches on the top and 3 1/4 inches at the bottom. Total weight is 426 grams (13.7 troy ounces). The outside bottom of the mug has the name "ESTHER" engraved in the bottom. There is an unusual mark on the inside bottom (see picture #8).
