Antique Chinese Gilt Hair Pick Or Ornament, W/ Tourmaline Or Glass Cabochon For Sale
Antique Chinese gilt hair pick or ornament, hallmarked, with a tourmaline or glass cabochon surrounded by small pearlsatop a highly decorated gilt shaft. Some pearls are missing. The head slides onto the shaft, and is not welded. Interestingly, and unusually, the shaft bears both Chinese characters and two English initials, "KB." Resting on top of the cabochon is a gilt butterfly, as if it had just landed there. The piece is 4 1/8 inches long.
